Quick Biography
Like her siblings, Demeter was engulfed by her father Kronos shortly after her birth, and only released when her brother Zeus defeated Kronos. Demeter is widely known to be Mother Earth.

She has one child - Persephone; Persephone became a tragic tale as she was taken by Hades into the Underworld to serve as his wife. Angered by this action, Demeter become angry and sent famine on earth. Finally, Zeus had Persephone brought back, though she is forced to come back to the Underworld once a year since she ate a Pomegranate.
