Quick Biography:
Though it could be said that Hera had given birth to Hephaestus without Zeus, Hera greatly disliked Hephaestus' weak personality and therefore dropped him off Mt. Olympus. He was saved, however, and after nine years, he built a golden chair and sent it to Hera, which quickly binded the Goddess and only released her once Dionysus had asked him to. His workshop is filled with beautiful workmanship with Cyclops being part of his workmen.

His wife, Aphrodite, was part of the bargain in order to release Hera. Although he is a skilled blacksmith, his appearance is not up to par with Aphrodite, resulting in her side relationships, namely with Ares.
