2. The Underworld Sends Me a Prank Call

Summary: Percy and Annabeth arrive at camp to go their separate ways: Annabeth goes to find Clarisse, but she refuses tell Percy why. Percy goes down to the sword arena and meets the swordsman Quintus, and his pet hellhound Mrs. O'Leary. Chiron then brings Percy to the Council of Cloven Elders, where the Council decides to give Grover one week to prove Pan has returned. That night, the fountain in Percy's bedroom begins to glow, and Percy watches Nico di Angelo talk to a ghostly form. Nico promises the ghost that he will find someone who has cheated death; and Percy has a feeling that Nico is talking about him.
